Welcome to the Madeline Island Yacht Club!
Located on Madeline Island, surrounded by the Apostle Island National Lakeshore, Madeline Island Yacht Club, Inc. is perfectly situated to take advantage of this expansive national park. The twenty-two luxuriously green islands are located in the archipelago of Northern Wisconsin situated in the cool, clear waters of Lake Superior. An abundance of wildlife can be seen while hiking the network of trails maintained by the National Park Service. Visit the historic sites, such as the lighthouses, that dot the islands.
Located on the largest of the Apostle Islands, Madeline Island Yacht Club, Inc. was organized in 1977 by a group of boat owners who loved the Apostle Islands and desired a beautiful, quiet and tranquil marina for their yachting home. It is operated on a non-profit basis for the benefit of its 140 members who collectively own the Club and facilties, and direct the operation through its elected Board of Directors.
The Club facilities are complete and well-staffed. The docks at the Club are very well protected from adverse weather and have electricity and water available. With boat slips ranging in length from 25 feet to 80 feet and a 35-ton travelift, you will find the right facilities for the largest and smallest boat. The MIYC is a full-service marina with a repair shop, Ship's Store, gasoline and diesel fuel, and pumpout service. Though membership assures you a slip space and lower rates, transient and seasonal dockage is available to visitors at non-member rates on a space-available basis.

B DOCK UPDATE
Dear MIYC members:
An update on B dock and other dock projects:
Our new B dock is just about complete. If you recall,
our old B dock was constructed of wood, unlike the
structural parts of our other docks, and was rotted to
the point that it was becoming unsafe. As this is
being written, the new main B dock is in place and the
dock top surface is being installed. The fingers will
be installed next. This is scheduled to be complete in
a couple weeks. Our electrical service to B, C, & D
docks is being replaced by Xcel. The old service was
originally 120/208v 800 amps and later changed to
120/240v 800 amps . By code the new service will be
increased to 1200 amps, and it is Xcel’s policy to
provide 120/208V, without exceptions, to this sized
service. Our old service was nearly 50 years old and
Xcel was concerned about its integrity, so they are
replacing service cable and transformer at their expense.
We are looking forward to better voltage performance
from this new Xcel service. Xcel will be coming in on
Friday, May 8th to update the electrical wiring. Power to
all docks will be OFF through Wed. May 13th. I hope we
all have a fun and safe boating season this summer!
