Safety and Personal Survival Training for You and Your Crew, June 9 & 10, 2018

The Safety at Sea Seminar will be held at Pikes Bay Marina and co-hosted by MIYC this year.

Here’s what the event entails:

Offshore Safety at Sea (Day 1)

International Offshore Safety At Sea With Hands-On Training (Add Day 2)

These Courses are for:

Offshore Safety at Sea, Day 1: Crew Members of Offshore Races, Long Distance Cruisers, Any Boater Wanting to Improve his/her Boating Skills. Hear from the experts about safe and successful racing and voyaging.

International Offshore Safety at Sea with Hands-On Training, Days 1 & 2: Crew Members Participating in International Races or Where World Sailing (ISAF) Certification is Required, Long Distance Cruisers, Any Boater Wanting to Find Out How Life Jackets and Life Rafts Work in a Safe Environment. Use the gear and practice the skills. Two days of intensive training for boaters who want to be self-sufficient.

US Sailing-sanctioned seminars designed and conducted by sailors who are experts in their fields! Provides both Novice and Experienced Mariners with the Information and Skills required to Sail the Apostle Islands and Offshore, Handle Heavy Weather, Conduct Rescue Procedures, and much more. Open to all Cruising and Racing Skippers, Crews and their Families, Recreational Boaters, and Commercial Mariners. Meets WYC-AIS Racing Requirements.
